Upon arrival, please check in with one of our SC Cryo staff. If it’s your first time visiting us, please plan for a few extra minutes to knock out the administrative welcome process. If you’re a returning friend, grab an iPad and sign in and we’ll have you chillin’ out in no time.
Your CryoSauna is filled with nitrogen vapor which quickly lowers your skin temperature and sends blood inward toward your core. We’re not going to lie to you – it can get a little cold in there. Think Lake Tahoe the morning after a fresh snow dump. You set off on a relaxing three minute walk beside the lake – in your bathing suit. It’s invigorating! Not to worry – your head remains outside of the sauna, and you can exit at any time. But grin and bear it for just three minutes and get ready to reap the benefits! WOW!
How It Works
Your skin sends signals via cold receptor nerves through your central nervous system to your brain, stimulating regulatory actions that effectively activate healing resources that are naturally produced throughout your body. Once out of the CryoSauna, your body immediately reheats as nutrient-dense blood is pumped back out through your extremities. This is where the endorphins kick in – get ready!
Three invigorating minutes
Watch your step coming out of the Sauna – take it slow. As soon as you can control your excitement you’re free to go. We’ll be patient – we know the exhilaration you’re feeling! Robes, socks and gloves go into their respective laundry baskets. Or you’re welcome to hang out – we’d love to hear about your experience!
Your body will go through a natural warming process for up to 10 minutes. How you facilitate this process is up to you. Some of our friends like to stay in their robes for a bit and briskly rub their arms with their hands. Scott and Corey have been using Cryotherapy for a while now and have become comfortable warming up slowly. Experiment! Find what works best for you.
If you’re short on time you can be in, out and feeling great in as little as 10 minutes.
New to MindBody? That’s ok – stop by or call us and we’ll get you started.
